It is important to check the blind materials with your own eyes before the purchase, because the colour reproduction the monitors can distort the images on screen and the result can differ from it in reality.

Many misunderstandings can be prevented by ordering free samples, since nobody will profit if it turns out at the last minute that the prefabricated bamboo blind does not meet the buyer’s expectations.

The mechanism is a simple but professionally made structure. On one side of the blind there is a copper braking mechanism. This ensures that when you raise the bamboo shade to the desired height, it automatically breaks if you twist the cord to the right To untie the brake to lower or change position of the roller blind, tighten the cord slightly and twist it to the left.

Despite the material of the blind, what can be use for 10-15 years, between regular circumstances, without any problem, the cord can be broke within 1-5 years (depends on the number of pull ups and roll downs). The cord is easy to change in home, therefore please consider it, to order a pack of spare cords, In this case, you can avoide to pay the shipping fee of the order of another pack of cords.

Bamboo blinds are a great way of reducing the amount of direct sunlight and heat in gardens, terraces, patios and verandas as well. They are practical, because they provide a nice shady area while enjoying the fresh air. And for this Bamboo is the proper material for they allow air to flow through its fibres more easily than other types of shades.

Since our custom-sized products made of natural and untreated bamboo material if you plan to use it outside do not forget to provide the proper surface treatment. If you are ordering for outdoor, please let us know! In this case we will use water-resistant adhesive, which will not incur any extra cost.

We do not recommend lacquering the bamboo shades because its fibres can get hardened and it will be impossible to raise or lower the blind. On the contrary treat the bamboo with hardwood oil (e. g. Sadolin Wood Oil), then it will not get mildewed even if you use them outside.

The hardwood oil makes the bamboo shades moderately water-resistant. And if it is not in direct contact with water the oil protects it against mist and air. It is also important to pay attention since the sunshine "drains" the oil out of the material, so you must redo the surface treatment from time to time.

Usually, a box of wood oil (0.75 l) is enough to treat 16m² (~172 ft2) bamboo rattan which costs approximately 12.5 € (= 10.15 £). When applying the oil in a thin layer because the bamboo wood will not absorb the oil residue.

As you can see on the pictures below the different bamboo blinds have different compactness. Therefore, it can vary how much light passes through them. Check it out in our photo gallery! The cost of the extra material (10 cm ~ 0.33 ft) covering the mechanism is in addition to the total price. Manufacturing of roman blinds is a more complex and more time-consuming process therefore we charge an extra production cost of 10% the standard price.
